Dan Brown's 'The Lost Symbol' - I really enjoyed all his other books, so bought the hard back in this one! And felt it was just a rip off of the film National Treasure :mutter:

Re: My Drawings

I think quite a few artists do that. Halfway through drawing Eowyn one day, I was eating my lunch an...

Thanks ever so much vision!

Here's my latest picture: Eowyn. :rider: Her eyes are too big, there's something just not quite right about her nose, and somewhere along the line she started to look like Kate Winslett! But apart from all that - I'm quite happy with it! :yay:

Thankyou very much Primula! :-)

Mum has always given me loads of encouragement, and I'm sure she must have a creative streak somewhere - because she makes the most beautiful cakes you've ever seen! You should have seen our birthday cakes when we were kids, amazing! :yay:

Re: The Extended Editions Return to Theaters

As far as I know - there hasn't been a showing of the Extended editions in any of our cinemas, and I'm very jealous reading all your comments! :mutter:  The past three years the Royal Albert Hall in London has shown the three films on huge screens, with live music from the London Philaharmonic ...

Wow! Thankyou so much for your comments - and I nearly ripped it up when I couldn't get his eyes right! :argh:  You've accomplished something that most watercolorists never do, (I count myself in that) depth of color... too many turn out wishy washy paintings, all light and airy Some o...

So glad that the water has started to recede (if a bit too slowly!), and I hope you are able to get back on your feet again really soon :-)

Re: How I spent my summer vacation....

Pain is about the same today, but have been hit by some nausea. I suspect it is as q.result of the antibiotics they have me, too. I am supposed to take very strong painkillers every day (my skeleton is not in good working order!) and I find that if I have eaten - then the nausea isn't so bad. But I...

Re: 30 Weeks of Books - Week 10: A Book You Thought... (p.7)

I started reading Book 1 of 'His Dark Materials' a few years back, and found the first few chapters quite plodding. I was going to give up but decided to keep reading and I'm so glad I did - I have read them over and over, they are an amazing set of books! :-)
