"New Alliances"
By Onómir
It was the stoic mist that held the voices prisoner. The very song they sang seemed to resonate within the white mist and ricocheted off the ancient pines and firs. The blue hue from their lamps danced to and fro like large fireflies, as the two kindred of elves parted ways forever, some to the sea, some to the forests and mountains beyond.
It was a song of sorrow.
It was a song of parting.
It was a song of what hope lay ahead.
Resolve demands an exacting price from all.
Some put faith in ships, some in new alliances.

I like this very much, Ada! It transports me all the way back before the First Age.

Onomir, you are incredible. I could just see them parting, knowing that they shall possibly never meet again, hearing their song that held such import. I really, really liked it.
And the fellowship, though forever bound by friendship and love, was ended.

I love the image you draw with the 'fireflies' going to the mountains and the sea. Very nice work.

What a wonderful picture of sorrow, longing and yet hope, Ada! I felt like I was there watching the other Elves leave.
