For those whose writings have wandered afar

Post by Primula » Thu Jul 28, 2005 7:01 am

This area was created so those of us who have found that with time that creative spark Tolkien started in our writing has led us to other worlds and places outside the Middle-earth of his own imaginings.

The "family friendly" litmus test still applies here, but beyond that pretty much anything goes. Feel free to share your poetry and stories about whatever has caught your passions, imaginations and muse.

At this time I cannot offer archiving services for this category, but I do encourage you to post your works at other sites, so others may also share them.

A couple archiving sites that accept stories from all fandoms as well as original fic:
http://archiveofourown.org
http://fanfiction.net

Most major fandoms also have sites that are dedicated to that particular fandom, such as A Teaspoon and an Open Mind is for Dr. Who ( http://whofic.com ).

So a little sci-fi is okay?
You do not know if you have truly walked in light until you have walked under the darkest shadow.!

Anything is fine as long as it isn't too graphic, etc. -- the idea is 'no worse than Tolkien.' If you aren't sure, you can always pm me with a question.

Well that can be pretty bad.
I don't think I would ever write worse than tolkien.
About the same really...
