Looney toons, classic that is...
We always watched the Bugs Bunny and Roadrunner Show, with the classic Bugs. The opera spoofs were always my favorites, and things like Daffy Duck as Robin Hood.

Me too! But not the "sanitized" version of the classic cartoons either. When they took out the silly bits with weapons the jokes weren't funny and they just didn't make any sense at all.
Let's hear it for Bugs as the Barber of Seville!
And Daffy as Robin Hood!
Porky Pig as Friar Tuck!
Yosemity Sam courting Bugs (dressed as the Little Old Lady)!

Woody the Wood Pecker and Winnie the Pooh, classics IMO.
I also watched Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, and that hole gang . . .
But I could never forget Popples!
Or Chip and Dale, or the Chipmunks, there are soo many, maybe I watched too much tv as a child

Use the talents you possess, for the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except the best.

yep, those are still my favorites. I still love the ones that utilize classical music pieces as themes and background music. How could anyone not love Elmer Fudd's Brunhilde singing Kiww de rabbit, kiww the wabbit... in proper Wagnerian form.Primula wrote:We always watched the Bugs Bunny and Roadrunner Show, with the classic Bugs. Roadrunner was actually my high school class mascot. When we had class assemblies, Warner Brothers was kind enough to send a Road Runner cartoon for us to watch. That was long before VCR's. heheh. Ah, those were the days.

There was one problem with that, when I finally saw the opera (for real) I could not get Bugs out of my head and was extremely disappointed by the opera because it wasn't nearly as funny.tinidril wrote:Let's hear it for Bugs as the Barber of Seville!
I loved Tom and Jerry!

Re: YES! Looney toons, classic that is... [txt]
I would have never known the Barber of Seville if it were not for Bugs, most likely - I loved the one with the Opera singer who keeps trying to practice for his opening night also...the one where Bugs conducts ("Leopold! Leopold! Leopold!") and shrinks the singer's head with alum spray.

Fraggle Rock was the best. I also watched Care BEars, The smurfs, Bugs Bunny, The Racoons, The Muppet Show, and I'm sure there's more I can't think of at the moment.
