Anyone seen History of Violence yet?
I am going this weekend to see it. I have heard nothing but great things about this movie, just wondered if any of you have seen it yet as it opened last weekend in select cities (mine was not one of them )
It is but a shadow and a thought that you love...

Welcome Kingslady. No, I have not seen it yet but I plan to along with Elizabethtown which should be opening next month. Alot of good movies coming out. Wish I could say that about this summer not much interested me this summer with the movies.

I'll be going this weekend also. I've seen some previews on TV & it looks pretty good.

I am hoping I get a chance to see it too. I have been hearing/reading very good things about it. I'm only a bit worried that it is going to be too violent for my tastes. I'm hoping to get a review here first! Let me know when I need to cover my eyes!

Haven't seen it yet, but I want to . I DID see Viggo on the Jon Stewart show, though. He's a funny guy. Kept pulling gummy snakes and lizards out of his water...
Don't say we have come now to the end

I went to my friend's house yesterday and she had that show on her tivo type thing, so now I've seen an episode of the Daily Show. And Viggo I loved the bit with the rubber snakes and lizards.
The clip of the movie looked good, but I'm afraid it's going to be too scary and violent for me.

Just got home from seeing HOV. Heavy on the violence. Kind of reminds me of Usual Suspects. Well worth seeing but definitely leave the kids at home.

Don't tell my parents that! I'm trying to convince them to let me see it. My argument to them: It can't be worse than Braveheart, and I've seen that a hundred times!Niniel wrote:Just got home from seeing HOV. Heavy on the violence. Kind of reminds me of Usual Suspects. The violence is different. There's also some graphic *** scenes as well.Elven_Maiden wrote:Don't tell my parents that! I'm trying to convince them to let me see it. Heavy on the violence, eh? hmm. Maybe I should wait for a dvd then I can fast forward through the nasty bits. I don't mind s** as long as it isn't mixed in with violence.
I've seen Braveheart too, but I wouldn't go again... Rob Roy once, and I'd edit that one frankly. I guess I'll never be "old enough" for some stuff!

I haven't seen it yet, but my office mate did. She says it's heavy on the violence in a Quentin Tarentino-esque kind of way, and she also mentioned the graphic s** scenes. Definitely leave the kids at home. Sorry, Elven_Maiden.

Re: Anyone seen History of Violence yet?
Well, I finally got to see it and No, do not take the kids to this movie. But it was a very good movie and I would recommend it to adults, unless you are extremely squeemish, as there are a few very graphic violent scenes. Viggo was excellent as ususal.
