A great chapter, Varda.
So Boromir is off to meet his fate...I am sure he will be brave and noble 'to whatever end'.
I look forward to reading about King Theoden...

Great chapter, Varda.
Because of the title I was afraid to read this chapter. But now I see that it's the next chapter I shall be more afraid to read.

Thanks, Daisy G and Mathom!
Yes the title is a bit misleading, but it refers to Legolas's prophecy, which is in the future. How far in the future?
Thanks for reading

Finally have a chance to reply! (txt)
Another marvellous chapter, needless to say. I love this bit:
And this:
The feeling conveyed by those lines sets the scene perfectly. The moon had risen, and its silver light fell through one of the high pointed windows of the Council Chamber. The beam crept across the black marble floor.
And this:
What a powerful line - and all the more so because of its truth. Your words are like an arrow in the heart. In the end, Faramir, we make our own fate....'

Many thanks, Elvellon, you always spot an effect I put special effort into trying to create, and you understand what I am trying to say. Many thanks
