Gingerbread Contest - Now closed - Thanks!

Post by Primula » Sat Dec 01, 2007 10:13 am

Warm up your baking pans and find your oven mitts - we're having a gingerbread contest!

:star:

Any kind will be welcome for the fun of it, but only Tolkien-themed ones will be eligible for a prize.
:yum:

When yours is ready, take 2-4 pictures of it from whatever angles you think show its best features. 500 pixels max. in any direction.

A panel of non-cooking judges will choose the one they thought the most creative (not the most edible, lol...)

Due to the way the calendar and folks vacations lie this year, the deadline has been extended to January 7th.

The Contest Page is Here!

As in gingerbread buildings? people? anything?

Pearl raises a valid point, however. No rules other than being Tolkien themed were specified. I guess we greenies need to confer just a bit and get back to everyone with The Rules.

Seeing as there are precious few regular houses in Tolkien's world, I'd say gingerbread anything.

Hmmm.... a gingerbread Smaug....?

I hadn't seen the original posting, thank you :)

I won't commit as all too often I do that and then don't follow through, but I really would like to come up with an entry. We'll see . . . ;)

My pictures are on the original thread (gingerbread house images) should I move them here or are they supposed to stay over there :?:

I think Rosie has posted links to the other thread, so you can too. That way the images are all in one place.

In the past, I believe Prim has put contest entries onto a single web page. It really hadn't been discussed yet...I think some of the details are still being ironed out.

Also, my pictures were the first ones on there (the Minas Tirith one), there are five and pretty big is that okay?

I am sure multiple photos will be alright, to really see each piece. I'll run it by primula, as she is the one who will be posting them. I believe we will be emailing photos directly to her, but let me verify.
Thanks again, for the inspiration! :D
