Sorry for the delay in getting the details running - we had a power outage here yesterday before I could finish it, lol...

HERE is the Gingerbread Page! Links may also be found on the front page of the Scrapbook, or under "Contests" there.

We have more sugary things on our countertop than I think we've ever had, for years - oh my! School is finally out and my kids and I are going to start in on our attempt at a gingerbread and candy creation tomorrow.

Anyone else going to roll up their sleeves and try something? We toyed with trying to make a full-size gingerbread copy of Narsil, but then ended up on another track.

Same with the grands and I. Now that school is out and I'm off from work for most of next week, we'll be getting busy. :hide:

Gee I hope this doesn't turn out to be a mods' only contest.

That said, I confess my work load has revved up to the point that I may not even be able to get mine done in time to enter. But I'm so engaged by the whole project now, mentally and artistically, that I'd do it in midsummer if I had to.

I hope someone else is doing it, as I don't know if I will be able to. Though I am not throwing in the dishtowel just yet.

We have three entries at this time - tomorrow is the deadline, but if someone needs a couple more days we're okay with that.

Anyone need more time?

Doc is performing two roles in Arsenic and Old Lace which opens in 11 days, and has to bow out. Sorry, but no time to bake when trying to memorize lines for my two parts.

But I can't wait to see the results!

Ooooooh! Aaaahhh!...Such talent! Fabulous job, everyone! The Pyre storyline was hysterical!!
..the grey rain-curtain turned all to silver glass and was rolled back, and he beheld white shores and beyond them a far green country under a swift sunrise.
