I've noticed the cbox gets little use, and I surmise it may be partly because other folks (like me ) kind of 'forget about it' down there.
SO... that got me wondering if we might like to experiment with moving it to another slot. (And we can always push it back to the bottom later if it doesn't work out.)

What's the cbox? The box underneath "Write Your Own LotR"? What's it for exactly? I wasn't here when that started.

It works like a real-time chat, but is only visible to members who are signed in to prevent spamming.
You just plonk your name in the 'name' slot, type your message and hit enter - no need to fill in the other url/email box. We added it this past year as a feature to enable real-time rambling when it's wanted.

I usually hit the View posts..... button before scrolling down the page, so for me, having it on top is more visible.

We'll give it a trial run to get used to it - it can always be relocated down the road if it seems better that way.
So don't panic! 
I would have loved to just put it up in the header where you can see it all the time no matter which forum you are looking at but then it would also be visible to spammers and passerby.
