Richard Dean Anderson

Post by Primula » Mon Aug 01, 2005 8:09 pm

This thread is in honor of my daughter, who squees whenever she sees this handsome fellow:grin:

Yeeee!

Anyone else find him very swoonable, both in his youthful MacGyver days and as Jack in Stargate SG-1?

Ooooooooohhhhhh, McGyver...    :goofy: :faint:
My dog's name is Ricky...need I say more???
I adored Richard Dean Anderson as McGyver because I so loved the character of McGyver, and he was perfect in that role. Apart from being sooo cute and handsome, that is, snicker...Are there real men like that in the world? Sigh...

MacGyver

Post by Primula » Sun Aug 14, 2005 8:19 pm

We have the first two seasons of MacGyver on DVD and a some "vintage" MacGyver fan goodies, like a great calendar of him that acts as a rotating "poster" on my daughter's wall.

Now all we need is one of him from StarGate too! :cute:

Oh yes, he's just the best! :yay: Our whole family loves Mac and Jack! We also enjoyed his unfortunately short-lived series, Legend. So funny and such a change for him. Jack particularly has so many great quotable lines (a favorite pastime of ours) from SG-1. If you're looking for an SG-1 calendar, I believe they are available through Creation Entertainment on line. I'm hoping to get one this year!

I loved Jack on Stargate, though I will admit that I swooned for Daniel Jackson. But then, I have a soft spot for archeologists. :D

One of the best things about the show is that there's almost always a swoonable male on screen! I'm getting fond of the new SG1 leader as well as the one on SG Atlantis. So nice of SciFi to provide so much eye candy -- along with great stories and acting!

Someone needs to point this thread out to Lothithil - now there's a top-quality RDA-swooner!

We just finished watching our season 3 of Stargate dvds - oooo!

I suppose we may also give a nod to his co-star Michael Shanks/ Daniel here - dear "Danny-boy" is also a favorite.

Oh yes... Jack O'Neill captured my heart from the first episode of Stargate SG-1 I ever saw. Daniel Jackson grew on me and keeps growing, but Jack has always been my special favorite... and always will be, I expect. :D

It also has something to do with the fact that I am as Minnesotan as Jack is an every time he says or does a Minnesota thing I go SQUEEE!!

But besides the MN, he's just an all-around splendid fellow. ;)

Okay, having spent 10 years in ND I must ask you where you're from in Minn. We were in Grand Forks, right on the Minn border.
