THANK YOU, my friends. I had a lovely birthday which included cards and phone calls from relatives and friends, as well as your much appreciated good wishes here on the best fan website ever.

My son and daughter in law made me a rich chocolate cake. My daughter sang to me and sent me flowers. My sister and I had a nice chat. My husband gave me 5 birthday cards! and a universal DVD player so I can watch my English DVDs (Time Team). He stopped work early so we could go to a museum I wanted to see. Then we took a walk to see the daffodils which are starting to bloom in the local rose garden, and we had dinner at our favorite restaurant. It was a very good day. While we were out I missed a phone call from Ireland, but now I have a beautiful phone message to replay over and over - thanks to Indis and Elentari.

But it's not over yet. I always try to make my birthday last all month, which is not too difficult because most of my relatives and some friends take a long time to mail me gifts so I have more coming later - yay!

I'm happy to celebrate with my fellow Pisces - there are a lot of you here.

OK Mathom, who is (Br)athom and V&E?

brathom is my brother in the RW. Hence his (not so) clever board name, brother of Mathom, shortened to brathom. V&E are the initials of my sister-in-law and my nephew.

That explains who, but I can't really explain why. Brathom is a big fan of LOTR, books and films, so perhaps he is just keeping up with the news, but he never posts anything here except birthday wishes to me. Perhaps he is spying on me. He's a good little brother (over 6 ft tall) and I love him very much.

You have been a good friend both on and off the board for years, and I appreciate that so very much.

I pray that your day will be filled with specialness (my very own word) because you are a special person.
