I'm going both nights, i got such a great deal on my room I decided to blow the extra cash and see it twice. RCMH is amazing and seeing the film with so many people who love it too is a wonderful experience.

The walk is the 10th! It will be too much for me to go on the 9th and the 8th is out of the question.

Believe it or not, after I missed last years concert, I marked my calendar for this year to get tickets ... but with my situation I couldn't buy advanced tickets as I didn't know what was in store for me.

Absolutely there is always hope.
and I am glad it is because of a walk and not because you are too ill that you are missing this year. Being ill and going through so much puts things in a special perspective.
And I am sure that the films mean even more to you now...So here is to next year. I have already put the hubby on advanced notice that next year he is coming with me. (he usually has a trip with his ball team "the saints") But I've asked him to forgo it next year so we can experience ROTK together. With live Orchestration it really is quite the experience.

Will do dear friend....It should be a party of magnificent splendor...I simply love ROTK and I can't wait to see it on the big screen again, the live orchestration is amazing.

This year seems rather subdued...so I am going to take the time to explore the city on my own.

Next year I hope that its a bigger deal with it being 10 years since the release of FOTR...

Have been inching slowly back into the LotR world. My dear friend Galadnen's death hit me hard and has made LotRing difficult...but I'm working on it. I have missed you all.

Rings is the best medicine...I lost my Dad, wow its been over 2 years ago now, LOTR is even more important to me now...is it an escape? I'm not sure, but the truths and friendships in the books and the films have always helped me through. I'm glad your finding your way back and hopefully you too will find comfort in the story we all love so much.

Death is not the end of the journey...just another path one we all must take.
And in my Dads case a journey I am sure he welcomed in the end...

We know those who pass before us have moved on to that far green country and find peace and healing there...It'd be wonderful if we didn't miss them so much...still the knowledge gives some measure of peace...
