Earthquake and our friends

Post by agape4rivendell » Fri Sep 03, 2010 8:14 pm

I know the earthquake was in the South Island, near Christchurch, but just hoping our friends from this board who live down there didn't happen to be on vacation in that part of NZ...

Evermind??? Haldirriel???

Hi All, :hi:

We are well here in Auckland. Too far away to be affected.
It's amazing that there were no deaths and the Kiwis are a hearty bunch. They will get through this. Heard on the news that there was another large afterschock today.

I have always wanted to visit ChristChurch and was planning a weekend visit this year sometime. I wanted to see the old English buildings and I hope they are able to repair most of them.

Agape, we should have stopped there that day on our drive through.... :car:

Hello to everyone !

Ah - the Elf says there was another one.... this time on the North Island...

Near a great little B&B we stayed at in wine country. Hope they are all fine...

Looks like there was minimal damage.
Although the toppings on someones "Mordor Pizza" may be a little scrambled!

Doc,

We did order one of those when we were there, it was ok, I like BBQ, but not on my pizza.

Oh, by the way. If anyone visits their website, try moving your cursor over one of the little devils and drag & drop it around for some fun.

Hey Tolman!

Do you remember the name of that B&B - I was talking about those people at a wake the other day. Remember - they had kids living in different countries all over the world.... I discovered my cousin's husband is working in China, her son is in India, and her other son is in Seattle Life is very interesting!!!

Wasn't that one of the nicest places? I've never played LOTR scrabble for such a long period... nor with such 'fine' players!!

Tolman,

You have to understand the full picture...

My preference for Pizza is not the important point. Mrs.Dr.G LOVES barbecue on her pizza, so if I could convince HER that we should go to NZ to get a Mordor Pizza, then the battle is half over.

But I don't see that happening for a while...although we are considering going back to Salzburg again next summer, so who knows...
