Now, I know it'll take a lot of work for some of you, but it is BAD poetry day, so see what you can come up with .

One day Frodo
and I
came upon
a Pig Sty

We jumped straight
In
And created such a
Din

That Farmer Maggot chased us straight away!

That should be a good start... er, I mean a bad start ;-).

Wow... that was.... bad



er... good job!

I once pulled a weed,
It was analogous to my life, kind of
Full of roots and dirt and
Kind of in the wrong spot,
By the veggies.


Or...

Toothpicks!
Under the table!
Sharp, ow ow ow!
Toothpicks.

Pehaps you'd care to try this one, so sad:
In Iambs will
We fit the Bill,
And Soon a Limernet* there shall be had.

*A Limerick Rhyme Scheme, with a mix of Sonnet's Iambic Petameter for the long lines.

Anapest is forbidden!
And yes, I can forbid them, because I made them up! They are silly, stilted, and just plain bad!!!

Easy enough
With the wrong stuff
So why do I keep on rhyming?

Anapest, isn't that a town somewhere over near Budapest? Or was that Pestbegone?

His brain is a fastness girdled by fens,
The cave of his skull a greatly echoing anapestic mug,
Behold his genius whens
We sees the words tippity-typed and plugged.

Hippety-Hyped
A ducky, a dog and a pony
Daughter of Kings said
"I'll pull out my hair"
By the way, "Anapest"
Sounds real tony

That silliness, if any

Define something like silliness,
It might be found while spelunking

Not that he is hollow, it's a nice clean cave,
Minus echoes and bats and guano,
But with lots of
Funky newts.

Oh,one may hear
some bat refrains,
for Fledermaus
dost fill me brains.

Fledermaus fits the bill,
Not a pile nor a hill -
Strains of arias are well instead,
Much finer things to wrap in one's head.




Too many apples are in my house,
I think they're sauced,
Canned and buttered sticky sweet stuff,
Wish jars weren't so tuff.

Who an argument against predictability made.
It dreamed of commonness,
Was deviled by practicality,
And happily-ever-after was clichéd.

Loth, that is just beautiful! Definitely doesn't belong in a bad poetry thread, unless deep thoughts on shallow subjects are inherently bad ;-).
