Dr. Who Sugar Babies?

What are they? Or were they?

The fourth Doctor was always eating them or giving them out. What were they?

So... gummi bears, only humanoid.

(I have wondered about them, too, so thanks for doing the research.)

Jelly Babies! I love them, they're less gummy than a gummy bear (more like a gumdrop) with a bit of tart sugar on the outside and nice flavors. There are also wine gums made by the same company I've found in the Brit section of the stores here, but the fruity 'babies' are better.

Mmm.

I got to taste some Jelly Babies at Orycon this year. And at our 50th anniversary special party at my brother-in-law's house we had some Sour Patch Kids. Jelly Babies are similar in texture and flavor to the Sour Patch Kids, but without the extreme sourness. They're also bigger.

We also had fish fingers and custard, almost-Jammie-Dodger-cookies, and the wine flavored gummies mentioned above (Champaigne flavor is delicious!).
