If you bring a camera, he wants to pose for you. You have to catch him in the act. He is a hoot, and totally unpredictable.

He was doing a small show in Melbourne with a variety of other very famous Australian comedians and it was really cheap. As soon as I found out I was like "Argh! Book tickets now!" But my friend made me ask for a photo, otherwise I would have been too scared. He physically pushed me over and I almost walked straight into Mr McDermott. I was too shy to say anything but to ask for a photo... But it was so cool. To me this was like meeting someone from the LOTR cast.
