MOVED: Four Years Gone Bye

Wow, time flies. I can't believe it's been that long since I left. Lots of wood shavings under the rug so to speak. Keeping most of my stuff current on Facebook at Blackhawk Wood Designs. Try to keep the web page up to date but I really need a re-design to allow easy to purchase PayPal, etc. Actuall...

Re: Hunting for a new home for the Fellowship

I keep telling myself to travel back to the Shire so here I am. Sorry to see us have to move off Bag End but I will gladly help pack up the cheeses, breads & pies and carry same to new digs.
Hope all of you are well. We've had some contact on Facebook but just not the same.
Keep us posted.

Re: Cancer raises its ugly head

S.E., So sorry to hear your continued plight. I distanced myself for a while getting over losing my sister at Christmas but finally realized we need all the friends and prayers we can get. I know we don't know each other per se but just from past years sharing these boards I feel we're all one close...

Re: "The Hobbit" on Blu-ray and DVD

Watched the BlueRay this Sunday on Easter.
I like it more and more each time I see it.
Looking forward to seeing more spiders, barrel riders and Smaugy skies.
Noticed several scenes missing from the DVD vs. Blurray; Bilbo's buttons popping off escaping Gollum not on the DVD.

Re: Our sad Christmas

Daisy, No words can express my sadness other than to know our shared loss of sisters at Christmastime is only something our faith in God can reconcile. I still find myself sobbing when a memory is triggered or condolence card comes in the mail or reading the wonderful support from our friends here i...

Re: Heroic Hearts; Bilbo and James Bond

Varda,
Now that's a comparison I wouldn't ever have though of, although I'm an undereducated American burnout from the 60's while you are a wizard deluxe with a pen.
I love it.
Glad to see you're out and enjoying the cinema.
Have a great New Year.
Any new tales in developement?
Peace,

Re: Thank you all.

Mouse, I'm sorry to hear the loss of your Gramps. Both mine have been gone for many years but always seem to come to mind from the lessons they taught. In 1964 one of them drove me around the entire United States from Calif. to New York (the Worlds Fair) and back. I was only 9 but remember it like y...

Dear all, thank you all so much for your love and support. :comfort: Ada is fighting a nasty lung illness still so we will continue to pray for his health. I'm not on Facebook so I don't know what gets posted there. Though, I figured by brother has kept everyone up to speed on what's going on for th...

Re: The Hobbit in the new 3D format

My wife can't do the 3D and it's a pain for me with glasses on but I broke down and paid $11 to see it and love the heck out of it.
All the tripe, hype and gripe means nothing when you have a perfect story to work with.
2 thumbs up.
