Battlestar Galactica Props......
--- Icarus sent me a link way back for screen used Rings arms, and helms. Pricing was about what you'd expect, but I was short at the time, so I passed. I collect a number of things besides Rings: vintage Hollywood magazines (on top actresses, mostly.) Autographs; I have over a hundred star signed 8...

Re: Anniversary!
--- Congrats! (...on the dinner out with no "tenders" in your wake...). You know, I remember the article, from way back then, but not sure if I'd made the connection at the time. Lindorie answered Syl on the US Naval officers uni, but I'd go a step further, and ask as to that growing flight deck of ...

Re: Band
--- Sounds good, dude! How would you "catch up" to your Dad? Was he in a known band, or local band? It almost sounded like you meant your dad was a member of the Who! As interesting as that would be, I'm guessing I merely read you wrong. And there's nothing wrong with being a cover band. Good cover ...

Re: Beatle artist and Rings contributor dies
--- It does make me wonder what it would have been like had they done an animated Lord of the Rings film with the Beatles as Frodo, Sam, Gandalf, and Gollum. It probably wouldn't have been good , mind you, but it's interesting to think about. It is interesting, and much as Aragorn in your avatar mig...

Heinz Edelmann, art director for the Yellow Submarine film, passed this week at 75. He was notable to Rings fans for having done the artwork for the first German edition of LotR, presumably in the early sixties.

Re: What a crazy and scary night
--- Is that strange weather for your region? I love big storms...they are exciting, but not when they are so big they cause damage or injury! Ditto, except a little damage is inevitable. Plus, the louder, the better (unless you have pets, which I don't...) Who says chaos and random destruction can't...

Re: Michael Jackson dead
--- Lindorie, I've studied mentail illness due to a bi-polar family member....the self medication, erratic behavior, extreme highs and lows... led me to believe the same thing. Not an unusual trait for someone with his extrordinary talent. Erech, I would say the extreme disfigurement he underwent in...

--- Aren't you being just as judgemental? Yes! I am as biased in his defense, as those who seek to condemn him. Especially during his funeral, for god's sake! I have followed his career since Beat It first hit MTV, back when I was a step away from an MTV music career myself. I envied him his incredi...

Re: Michael Jackson dead
--- ~He was a great performed and was probably just very disturbed later in life. Fred Astaire was once quoted as saying that Michael Jackson was the best dancer he had ever seen. Why would you assume something as negative as this? This kid was generous to a fault, and clearly not "disturbed" in any...
