New Tolkien films on the way

New Films ! :-) :yes: :stretch: :wings: :yay:


I have just heard on the radio, BBC 5, that there are plans by Warner Brothers, for new Tolkien films sometime in the future.
The plan isn't for remakes of the Lord of the Rings films. It seems that Warner Bros wants to explore other facets of Middle-earth. :huh:

Also Peter Jackson, Fran and Philippa have put out a quote saying, that they’ve been kept in ‘the loop every step of the way’ by Warner Bros.
and look forward to hearing from them on their vision going forwards.
Now PJ's statement is what's interesting to me, since it implies, they've been involved or consulted for quite some time.
What could their plans be? What is PJ’s involvement? :computer:

Ooo...very intriguing. Can't say I approved of the Rings of Power, but if PJ and crew are involved in some way, I guess there is always hope of better things ahead.
