New Sherlock Holmes Movie

Post by mousechief » Sun Dec 27, 2009 8:23 pm

Hey all!
I just went to see the new Sherlock Holmes film today. I enjoyed it a lot. I'm not a purist, and thus forgave the revamping, and I loved that they didn't make Dr. Watson a blithering, blundering idiot, which many movies tend to do. Lots of action, some deducting, and some explosions makes it a nice kind of literary based holiday escape. What did you think? Did you like it?

Finally saw it. Really like Robert Downey Jr. and Judd Law as Holmes and Watson. And it was also a treat to see Mark Strong again, who played Septimus in Stardust.

Loved it! They dug into the novels and brought out some lesser known qualities of Holmes and Watson, and banished a few of the over-recognizable points to make a new vision of Sir Conan Doyle's creation.

And the scenery, backgrounds, extras, and special effects were marvelous!

I WILL own it! :-)
