Just curious but has anyone picked up my comrade Merry? I know MerryK had him but I haven't seen her for ever so long. I just don't want to leave the poor Took in a lurch with no one to respond to his randomness. If not, I'd be willing to step in until someone came forward (which would ever be so much more fun than talking to myself; bad for my sane image and all that ;) ).
And the fellowship, though forever bound by friendship and love, was ended.

What is this image of sanity, of which you speak?!? LOL!

I don't know who has him at the moment. Hope he shows up soon!

Merry is listed as an open slot - go ahead and "puppet" him along if you need to for the moment.

Anyone like to step up, eat, drink and be Merry? :cheersL:

I agree with Primula.

Plus, if you pick up Merry, then when you talk to yourself, you'll be able to answer you.

Eomer will have to wait

Post by agape4rivendell » Wed May 25, 2011 9:21 pm

I'm very sorry - I had fully intended to 'take up' Eomer and continue on with the adventure....

BUT

Horrible weather we are having today - looks like it will continue into the night. Praying for safety for all!!!! Please God.

My poor daughter's basement is again with water - though nothing like before where the basement was destroyed. Was that only weeks ago?!? They moved some things off the floor and have fans going. I cannot believe the amount of rain!!! They lost power twice this evening and their satellite is out. They spent the evening in the basement.

My son drove through what he called the 'worst storm ever' - pretty sure the car will have hail damage. Telephone pole in his backyard fell down - but he's hoping it missed his garage. They have no power tonight and he says workers are climbing on his house with ladders. He and wifee are reading books by candlelight.

I have had no damage - I haven't the courage to go down to the basement to see how high the water is - just incredible rain, thunder and lightning. I'm worried about tonight as strong storms are forecast.

I know this is nothing compared to parts of Missouri and Texas, etc. but it is scary.

Praying for us all - God bless.

I will pick up Eomer - tomorrow night or Saturday if you folks can wait that long.

Hanging in there

Post by Primula » Thu May 26, 2011 6:29 am

(((Agape))) - of course we'll wait! This is just an amusing diversion from our various life stresses, not boot camp. :tea:

Hang in there, I do hope things will turn out better than hoped for both you and your family, and the damage will be as minimal (or at least easily fixed) as possible.

((Agape)) No rush. Here's hoping you and your family dry out soon.

Ah drat! My basement had a few inches (thankfully not more) on the utility side. The finished side was spared.

A dear friend came over and helped mop it up.

Thank Eru that it was not sewage but seepage.

My goodness - that sounds like something Gimli might say. I am inspired!

Life is interesting, my dear friends. Bless you for your concern and love!
