Hey, guys. I feel like I just walked into a twilight zone episode. I have near to no clue as to what to do here. I think I'm going to have to paint by numbers for a while. Please don't hold it against me if my first efforts here are weak. It'll get there...I'll be bugging people with questions...

Yea, though I walk unto the valley of shadow, I will fear no message board...
It was the strawberries... They knew I knew about the strawberries...
Ask not, what your message board can do for you...
ohh, this is fine thing, when an Elf will go under-board, but a dwarf dare not...

Erech! Can't wait to see what you do with dear Gimli.

I would like to extend a very warm welcome to our new Merry, most appropriately named MerryK
Looking forward to finally have our dear Brandybuck conscious again!
You will find you and your cousin are upon the shoulders of some Uruk-hai heading into Rohan at this point - enjoy!

Oh phew...I wanted to pick up "our" part and get it going again, but, being new, didn't know exactly how.
And when the fragrance of athelas stole through the room, like the scent of orchards, and of heather in the sunshine full of bees, suddenly Merry awoke, and he said: ‘I’m hungry. What is the time?’

Sorry, I kinda dropped the ball there. Now that we're moving again I'll try to keep up.

Pippin!
I would like to welcome our new Pippin, picking up the intrepid fool of Tuckborough is Eruvanne, with Daughter of Kings remaining his understudy, should times of need surface in the Merry Olde Days to come.
We are glad to have you aboard!
Fasten your seat belt and hang on. Have fun!

Hello, everyone. I'm kinda new at this so any advice on how to do this would be most appreciated.
