Texas Ringers check in...
I saw the pictures of Austin. How's everyone in those parts?

We're 240 miles south and nothing to speak of.
Bastrop state park where the Moot is held has been hit kind of hard. Firiel was fine last night, Not sure about the others.

Actually, it was the pictures of Bastrop that snagged my attention, and I wondered about Firiel. Thanks, DocG.

All's good in my neck of the woods, though some of our nearby communities are getting a lot of damage.

I was thinking of everyone down that way as well - good to hear no one is floating away!

Re: Texas Ringers check in...
Our place usually gets less rain than the surrounding countryside, and usually I complain about that... but right now I'm grateful. Much of my garden was drowned out, and the roads were pretty sloppy for a while, but the house is high and dry.
One of my grad students had water in her house in Bryan, though, and parts of our county just south of us had some pretty spectacular flooding.

If the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence... water your grass.
