Re: TEXAS MOOT 2010! - DRIVING DIRECTIONS
Doesn't matter to me one way or the other, but hubby asked me to check. I'm cooking the chili verde tomorrow to put into the freezer.

Clothing is mandatory, but garb/costumes are optional and according to the whims of the wearers.

You mean we're not going to run around like Frodo & Co did after Tom Bombadil rescued them from the Barrow Wight? *snicker*daughter_of_kings wrote:Clothing is mandatory, but garb/costumes are optional and according to the whims of the wearers.
He wore a tall pointed blue hat, a long grey cloak, and a silver scarf. He had a long white beard and bushy eyebrows that stuck out beyond the brim of his hat.

Don't think the kids would appreciate that, heheheh
Re: TEXAS MOOT 2010! - DRIVING DIRECTIONS
I hadn't planned on packing my costume this trip, but could with ease. I actually find it quite comfy (and warm!). The dress-up afternoon we had at Bastrop was fun. Who all might be interested in such?

Re: TEXAS MOOT 2010! - last minute food questions
Two last minute questions...
1) Is anyone going to want coffee?
2) Does anyone mind if I amend Friday's supper menu to beef tenderloin?

Re: TEXAS MOOT 2010! - last minute pillows
One more last minute item...
Bring a blanket and/or pillow and/or something small but comfy to sit on. There is not enough seating in the living room for everyone when we're watching the movies. There are kitchen chairs, and I'm going to bring some folding chairs, but they may need some extra padding for comfort. There's plenty of floor, too... again, more comfy with pillows.

Re: TEXAS MOOT 2010! - last minute pillows
We often travel with folding director chairs in our vehicle. will bring them this time, too
Re: TEXAS MOOT 2010! - last minute pillows
Coffee ... ... ... not necessary
Tenderloin (to copy Lindorie) ... ... ... YUM!!!
The floor (with pillows, if I can find any ... might have to buy) would probably be more comfortable than my travel chair (even if it is oversized, it's not the greatest thing on which to sit)!

I'll be bringing milk, I'll be sure to bring more than I need. Is whole OK, or would 2% or skim be prefered for coffee? Also, TookFullofIt got called in to work Saturday and can't get out of it, so we're one person down.
Tenderloin-no complaints here!!
I'll spread the pillow word to my crew. Thanks!

I don't use anything in my coffee normally. If hubby wants something, I will pick it up tomorrow night when I finish shopping for salad and stuff for dinner Saturday. Won't have time to make anything for dessert, so will pick something up for that, too.

AE, you can bring whole milk if you like. I'll be bringing skim milk for me, and more for anyone who wants it.

Well, I'm bringing a couple of varieties of apples from the North Georgia (Ellijay) orchards near where I live and plan to make apple dumplings for dessert ... ... ... if that's okay with everybody ... ... ... if not, I'll figure out something else (I've got my recipes with me *heehee*)!!
